The fourth UK Championships took place on July 17th 2016 and was hosted once again by Mark and Elaine and was also blessed by a fine, sunny afternoon. There were three new Champions and two Championship records were broken.

The competition began promptly with Bob scoring 273 points and Jimmy, 187 points to progress from Pool A.

Pool B saw Matt (228 points) and Emily (178 points) progress, whilst Ewan was extremely unlucky to lose out to Emily by just 2 points.

Pool C produced a new Championships Game Record set by Elaine with 275 points, whilst Big D followed her into the next round with 190 points. In the second round of this game, Elaine also broke the Championships Round Record with a score of 122 points.

Finally, in Pool D, Jane progressed with a creditable 223 points along with Will The Legend on 204 points and with Kimberley, The Player of the Season, rolling an uncharacteristic 58 points in the game.

In the semi-finals, Pool B winners, Matt (239 points) and Emily (195 points) eliminated Bob and Jimmy to progress to the final. In the other semi-final, Elaine (259 points) and Big D (242 points) knocked out Will The Legend and Jane. However, Will’s 212 points earned him the Wild Card Entry into the Championships Final as the highest scoring losing player on the day.

The Championships Final resulted in a first round lead for Will The Legend, the Wild Card Entry, which he never gave up and eventually ran out the winner with 221 points with Big D as the runner up with 203 points.
